Biography:
Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, more commonly known as Adele, was born on May 5, 1988 in Tottenham, Greater London, England. She began her career when XL Recordings offered her a contract after a friend posted her demo on Myspace in 2006.
In 2008, she released her debut album, 19, which was met with overwhelming commercial and critical success. The following year, she won Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Vocal Performance.
She then released her second album, 21 in 2011. It became successful as well, surpassing the success of her debut. 21 earned her six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
